Review on Cervercería Finisterra: Incredible Galician food in Valencia!

One of our favourite place to go especially for a nice beer is Cervercería Finisterra. Like Restaurante Camaléon (see my review), this place is also a Estrella Galicia cellar, serving freshly made beer on tap right from Estrella Galicia factory.

Sometimes they would give us olives to go with our beer, other times they would give us their fresh homemade potato crisps with just salt and oregano they are soooo good.

Not only do they serve nice Galician beer, they also are specialised in Galician food! One of our must order is their Galician cheese with fresh made bread

This cheese is very mild in flavour, creamy and soft and it is really nice to be eaten on its own or with some bread. Plus this half-portion cheese which was only 4 euros! The bread they serve here is also really fresh and moist. I am happy just eating this with my beer 😸

We also ordered this Empanada de Zamburiñas which Adri said is a typical pastry they make in Galicia  filled with scallops, sweet caramelised onion and red pepper. It is my first time eating a scallop pastry to be honest and it was really nice indeed! The pastry was also very light  so the whole pie was really soft and moreish.

This is another typical Galician dish called Raxo which is also my Galician's friend Michael's favourite.  It look a simple dish with just some pork loin served with fries and gravy, which actually I have read that the traditional way to make the meat so tender and flavourful is to soak it in white wine over night. The meat was so tender and full of flavour, with a slight tanginess from the wine, while the potato was perfect to soak up all the beautiful juice from the meat.

We also ordered the octopus croquettes as well. It was really creamy, but the ones  from La Omma Gastrobar with pieces of octopus inside were better 😝

The environment of the bar is very much like a cellar so it is fairly chill place to have a beer with friends and have some small bites.

Apart from the dishes mentioned above, they also make the classic Pulpo a la Gallega (Galician octopus) which I am dying to try! Will definitely add the review here once I try it :)

I hope you have enjoyed my sharing. See you next time!

Lots of love,
Cherrie
